Is death mortal?

The fire burns with its mortal flame
The universe boasts of its immortality
The stillness of silence shouts
Tears emerge from eyes and smile

They pick the body up
They keep the body down
Friends sob and families cry
The fire, irrespective of all this sadness burns
Burns, with a fearless flame

They eyes are closed
The life is dead
What once was a cheerful, Young soul
Is now all pale, burnt and red

The flame burns the body down
But the memories are still alive
The presence might be absent from the heart
But, can death take the whole of life?

The memories we made
The moments we shared
Can all the love just flow away
With the breeze that fuels the fire

The fire burns with a mortal flame
The sun smiles of human’s vulnerability
The tears cry for immortality
The flame burns the body down

The absence is present in the heart
But can death take the whole of life ?
