On the lifestyle that lies ahead

(I)

Accept all the tantrums they throw simply,

Move around mechanically,

Use self-consciousness gracefully,

Suffer the day’s work silently,

Eat away the starving self,

.

I present myself,

Out on the stage named world,

An unfamiliar aura,

A familiar strangeness,

“Entertain” the jiggling man giggles at me,

.

(I)

Attempt , try and preserve thy soul,

Fail. Fall down from the top,

Hear a sigh, a relief, a wince,
Applaud with the others as the performer wins,

They award the employee the ‘joker of the day’
